Australian Frameworks
The Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) guides educators in nurturing young children’s development through play-based learning. It emphasizes fostering a child’s identity, well-being, and connection to their community while encouraging strong family relationships and creating inclusive, engaging environments tailored to each child’s needs. At Cloudberry ELC, we are committed to offering exceptional educational programs that seamlessly integrate our unique approach with the diverse frameworks established by the Australian Government.
What is Early Learning Years Frameworks ( ELYF )
The Early Years Learning Framework (ELYF) serves as our compass in early childhood education and care, guiding every aspect of our practices. It delineates the principles, practices, and outcomes essential for nurturing and enriching a young child’s learning journey from birth to five years old, as well as their transition to school.
In alignment with the National Quality Framework, the EYLF acknowledges children as capable learners with rights and autonomy. It places a strong emphasis on play-based learning and underscores the significance of communication, language, and social and emotional development in childcare and preschool settings.
Our curriculum focuses on five key learning outcomes that represent a child’s holistic development.

Wellbeing

Confidence and engagement

Why ELYF?
The ELYF carries three main themes – Belonging, Being, and Becoming – used to describe childhood which inspires our Genius Framework.
Our educators understand children may come from diverse backgrounds and engage them in learning that promotes confidence, and creativity and enables active citizenship using these themes. They also celebrate diversity with children and their families, and the opportunities diversity brings to know more about the world through each child’s Belonging, Being and Becoming.

Belonging

Being
Childhood is a special time where children need time to play, have fun, and try new things. Children should have the opportunity to just “be” and experience the joy of childhood

Becoming
What is a play-based Learning?
Play-based learning is a powerful approach that recognizes the natural inclination of children to be curious, explore, and learn. This is a list of benefits that children can experience through play.

They can express their personality and uniqueness.

They can improve their thinking skills and develop a lifelong love of learning including curiosity, persistence, and creativity.
